Our heated 25-yard pool provides members and guests an ideal place to either swim laps or refresh yourself with a "dip" and relax poolside!
During the summer months the pool becomes the only public outdoor pool on the island. Food and beverage services are available poolside from 12 noon until 4pm. Family swim begins at 11am and goes until the Water Aerobics night class begins. Our certified lifeguards make your experience safe and fun.

- Summer Hours (starting mid-June): Mon thru Fri 5:30 am to 8:00 pm and Sat/Sun 7:00 am to 6:30 pm
- Winter hours (starting mid-September): Mon thru Fri 5:30 am to 9:00 pm and Sat/Sun 7:00 am to 6:30 pm
- Lap swimming available during all open pool hours; swim in one of our dedicated lap lanes
- Water Aerobics schedule includes 19 classes each week
- In summer we offer food and beverage service at the pool

Kids in the Pool
Our lifeguards are not babysitters—but are responsible for the safety of everyone in the pool, adults as well as children. We take our responsibility for your child’s safety as seriously as you do…we know you will appreciate our efforts.
As a benefit of your membership your children under the age of 13 may use the pool with you during the following times (starts September 3):
Mondays: 10:15am-4:30pm and 7pm-8pm*
*Schedule subject to change. After Bubble goes up pool is open/available until 9pm.
Tuesdays: 10:15am- 5pm and 6pm-8pm*
Wednesdays: 10:15am-4:30pm and 7pm-8pm*
Thursdays: 10:15am-4pm, 6-8pm*
Fridays: 10:15am- 8pm*
Saturdays and Sundays: 11:15am-6:30pm
Pool policies regarding children using the pool:
- All children must be signed in at the front desk each and every time they come in to the club.
- When at the pool or in the club, children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult (someone 18 years or older) at all times. Babysitters must be at least 18 years old, and must pay a guest fee if they are not members of the club.
- Children under age 13 who are not strong swimmers may ONLY be in the water if their supervising parent is IN THE WATER WITH THEM.
- All children using the pool must stay in the lane closest to the lifeguard station. No children are allowed in the lap lanes at anytime.
- Children are not permitted in the pool area during Water Aerobics classes or Masters Swim. (Including the deck and the kiddie pool). During Water Aerobics classes and Masters Swim the pool is open for lap swimming.
- Children are not permitted to wander or loiter in the locker rooms at any time. Boys and girls over the age of 3 must use the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms respectively. A staff member at the front desk will be happy to escort your child through the proper locker room if needed.
- A warm water shower is available poolside during the summer months. For your convenience a small changing area is located at the top of the stairs on the way to the pool.
- Children under the age of 13 are not allowed in the whirlpool, cold plunge, sauna or steam room.
- Pool rules are posted at the entrance to the pool. Please be sure that children understand and follow these rules.
- Water Aerobics equipment is for adult exercise use only. The children may use the colored noodles located by the pool.
- Every hour during the day there will be a 10 minute period when children only will be required to exit the water. (This period will occur at 10 before the hour). This is to ensure the safety of your child by having them rest. It is also the time when lifeguards may take their break and do any necessary pool maintenance. During this time it will be Adult only swim.
GUEST FEES are as follows:
- Children of Newport Athletic Club members up to age 13 will be admitted for no charge for pool use with a parent, adult member, or paying adult guest. (If they are not with their parent they should bring their parent’s membership card.)
- Guest children whose parents are not members: $5.00 for children under 13, $15.00 for children 13 and over. Three Pack Guest Passes may be purchased by NAC members at the Front Desk for $25.00. 10 visit punch cards are available for $99 and 20 visits for $175.
- In order to gain access to the pool and facilities, all guests must either present a membership card or pay the appropriate guest fee.
