Kids in the Pool

Our lifeguards are not babysitters—but are responsible for the safety of everyone in the pool, adults as well as children. We take our responsibility for your child’s safety as seriously as you do…we know you will appreciate our efforts.

As a benefit of your membership your children under the age of 13 may use the pool with you during the following times:

Effective December 2011

Mondays: 10:15am-4:10pm, 5:10pm-5:45pm, 7pm-9pm
Tuesdays: 10:15am-5pm and 6pm-9pm
Weds: 10:15am-4:10pm, 5:10pm-5:45pm 7pm-9pm
Thursdays: 10:15am-4:10pm, 6-9pm
Fridays: 10:15am-9pm
Saturdays: 10:15am-6:30pm
Sundays: 10:15am-6:30pm

Pool policies regarding children using the pool:

  1. All children must be signed in at the front desk each and every time they come in to the club.
  2. When at the pool or in the club, children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult (someone 18 years or older) at all times. Babysitters must be at least 18 years old, and must pay a guest fee if they are not members of the club.
  3. Children under age 13 who are not strong swimmers may ONLY be in the water if their supervising parent is IN THE WATER WITH THEM.
  4. All children using the pool must stay in the lane closest to the lifeguard station. No children are allowed in the lap lanes at anytime.
  5. Children are not permitted in the pool area during Water Aerobics classes or Masters Swim. (Including the deck and the kiddie pool). During Water Aerobics classes and Masters Swim the pool is open for lap swimming.
  6. Children are not permitted to wander or loiter in the locker rooms at any time. Boys and girls over the age of 3 must use the men’s and ladies’ locker rooms respectively. A staff member at the front desk will be happy to escort your child through the proper locker room if needed.
  7. A warm water shower is available poolside during the summer months. For your convenience a small changing area is located at the top of the stairs on the way to the pool.
  8. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed in the whirlpool, cold plunge, sauna or steam room.
  9. Pool rules are posted at the entrance to the pool. Please be sure that children understand and follow these rules.
  10. Water Aerobics equipment is for adult exercise use only. The children may use the colored noodles located by the pool.
  11. Every hour during the day there will be a 10 minute period when children only will be required to exit the water. (This period will occur at 10 before the hour). This is to ensure the safety of your child by having them rest. It is also the time when lifeguards may take their break and do any necessary pool maintenance. During this time it will be Adult only swim.
  12. For the safety of all our members the Lifeguard is responsible for managing the pool area and enforcing club policies.
